“Rock the Royals” fundraising campaign

“Rock the Royals” fundraising campaign

Comments: Be the first!

Dear Royals Members,

The board of directors are excited to announce our Rock the Royals fundraising campaign!

Did you know the Royals Rocks have put in over 50 years of good curling? With each season’s use and sanding the rocks become lighter and misshapen eventually reaching the point where not only is their and our performance affected, but they become illegal for certain curling events. We are now at the point where it’s time for these current stones to relax and enjoy their retirement. We need to act now to get the new rocks in play for January 2017.

We are asking for your help to raise $70,000 to replace all the rocks at Royals. There are several ways to support the campaign designed for a range of circumstances.

How to support the campaign:

1) Donate $500 and have your name on a handle*

2) Donate $125 a team member and have your team name(s) on a handle*

3) Pledge $96, or any other amount, when renewing your membership. If every Royals curler (club and associate) pledges $96 we will reach our target.

*Every rock handle purchased will be entered into a draw to win back their curling fees at the AGM.

Finally, to raise additional funds the Royals are selling advertising space in the arena. If you are not able to donate toward the campaign, consider joining our team soliciting companies interested in purchasing space. Please contact Rob Ainsley for more details.

Our fundraising drive will be launched on finals night, where we can all see the fundraising RockOmeter rise from 0-96 degrees.

If you aren’t able to come and join the fun, but would like to support our campaign please fill out the attached form and return to Bill McAnally

Thanks for your support,

The Board of Directors
